Well snow is still coming down and I suppose I will be heading out to clean out the driveway in a bit. Should try and get the bulk of it cleaned up as it is wet and it is going to drop down to some pretty cool temperatures in the next few days. So that could freeze what I do have in the driveway now and that would be a problem to remove. Highway 522 has been plowed but it is quite slippery with icy spots. Well if you have been reading my posts here at the blog you would have read where I predicted a storm could be heading our way. Well turns out my prediction is going to be true as today they just issued a Major winter storm warning. Today it will start off being windy with a few clouds. Then we will have a few flurries developing this afternoon. High today will be around 26F. Winds will increase and come in from the East at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow this afternoon around 60%. I expect around an inch or so. Then tonight we will have the brunt of the storm with heavy snow and strong winds. By morning we could have up to 12 inches. I say could as it all as it all depends on a few formalities, like which way the winds will prevail from and barometric pressure. Temperatures will stay about the same as daytime temperatures with a Low of 24F. Winds should remain coming in from the East at 20 to 30 mph. So I would think we will defiantly have a white Christmas folks. Tomorrow will bring more snow also. Barometer is holding stead at 29.21 in Hg. The moon will rise at 12:08 PM & set at 12:24 AM. Still got a wee bit of snow left after the mild temperatures we have been having. Might get a few flurries before Christmas, not exactly sure if we will have a full white Christmas this year though. Good Morning. Well not so nice of a day. There is a Freezing Rain Warning up which I suspected going into last night. My data said something was heading our way. Would go this year but need to purchase a new vehicle and will be doing that come spring. Where there is lots of sunshine there is good health my old Dad used to say and built a cottage in Florida to go to. He was a man of his word let me tell ya. Miss him too. Yesterday I went for a half a days walk in the bush seeking out medicines that nature has to offer. Some items this is the only time of year that they can be obtained and I have to say I did quite will in stocking up my supply. Quiet as usual here in Port Loring. On a health issue. Many years ago I remember my old Dad saying that he was going to plant a lot of Kale for market. Reason being that Kale is about the most potent healing foods in existence; back then and into today. There isn’t to many foods in the grocery store today that can compare with kale for ones health. My wife and have planted it each and every spring and have indulged in its healthy benefits every evening for supper through out the growing season. You can cook it like spinach or you can eat it raw. We like the tender young leaves raw and the older leaves cooked up, on top of a low heat. Nothing is more healthy for you folks and if you see some in the organic section of your grocery store I can only say this. You will do well to pick some up and get to eating . With the lack of sunshine here in our area it will help immensely in keeping your body & mind healthy and strong. Have a great day.

Well as usual not to much to report around town. Myself just doing some clean ups around the old house and wife is busy with Christmas on her mind. I also have been busy working on our fifth book which will be coming out in the spring of 2013. That will be it for awhile once it is written as I want to work on a health book which folks have been asking for now for over five years. So thinking I will get into that. It will take me a year or so to finish I suspect. Any ways folks, stay healthy, wash them hands after coming out of stores and places where lots of folks congregate. Not using that Disinfectant soaps that make your body sick neither. If you feel the need other than good old hand soap you can use vinegar. It will kill all flu and cold viruses without hurting your body. Enjoy your day.
Did you know that good old sunshine which changes Cholesterol into Vitamin D can slash your risk of getting the flu or a cold by a whopping 42 percent if not more—isn’t that a lot better than the highly controversial not so good H1N1 flu shot with all its harmful side effects. Also in winter were sunshine isn’t in abundance you can still get Vitamin C naturally in: kiwi, grapefruit, watercress, alfalfa, strawberries, oranges, and pineapples. Getting it naturally is a thousand times better than in pill form. Also remember that if everyone got lots of sunshine there would be no such thing as high cholesterol.
