Cholesterol, Vitamin D & Sunshine

For a lot of years here on the Blog I have told folks that I don’t honestly believe that there is bad cholesterol.  And some have asked why.  Well it’s simple really, as if one does the research he or she would soon find that cholesterol is a major player in keeping us healthy.  Thing is this.  Cholesterol is like anything else in life, to much of a good thing can cause a bit of trouble, sometimes.    So here is my answer.  Where do you think what some call Vitamin D comes from?  Most don’t know, or even care. Some say the sun, which in one way is correct.  Thing what most don’t know and most physicians won’t or don’t tell you, is that to get vitamin D into your system, you need sunshine, as sunshine turns cholesterol into the vitamin D that you need.  So let me say that one more time. Cholesterol is very necessary stuff. It’s converted into Vitamin D by sunlight,  so…. Lack of sunlight prevents the formation of Vitamin D.

Now here is the thing.  Folks now head out to the store to buy up Vitamin D3, is this a good thing?  Well for most parts no as most over the counter items like vitamins are man made and not good for ya.  What I would do, would be to buy organic Coconut Oil and take a table spoon a day, broken down to three times a day, or a bit at every meal.  That’s all you need and not only will the coconut oil help turn the cholesterol into the D you need, it will also fix a whole and I mean a whole mess of other problems, that you might have.  Also a lot of things you don’t know you have, I will guarantee that.   Thing is though, if you don’t get outside and get sunshine, you will gather up to much Cholesterol, simple as that and that is the problem we are having today, to much. to much isn’t good no matter what it is. So to fix this problem you need what?  Sunshine my friends, lots and lots of sunshine.  Don’t be fooled, the sun is good for you, wont hurt you, even if you are fair skin. In fact, there is enough evidence out there today to say that the sun stops skin cancer an most other cancers as well.  Think on this, we are part of the earth, the earth needs sun to survive, or should say everything on the earth.  So why would the sun cause us harmIt won’t, unless you lay in it for to long or look directly at it, so come this spring, or even now, head on outside, soak up some sunshine and get healthy.  As I say, don’t rely on others to fix your problems.  You are your own healer, you were given that, so use it.  Have a good day and as always.  My Opinion Only

Good Article Relating To Ones Health

This Article written by a lady, explains a lot when it comes to treating cancer and a lot of other diseases for that matter.  Worth the read.

Chemotherapy and/or radiation – – or surgery?

Please bear with me through this important illustration. Is a headache caused by a deficiency of aspirin? The answer, of course, is NO! Then why do we take aspirin for a headache? What does aspirin do? Headache is NOT a disease. It is a symptom. It just means that you have a pain or ache in your head. Aspirin covers up or decreases the symptom (which is the headache) without addressing the real CAUSE of the headache itself.

Headaches are caused by a number of conditions including tension, stress, lack of drinking enough water, eating the wrong foods, caffeine-withdrawal, to name a few. Addressing THESE CAUSES is the answer to eliminating headache.

By the same reasoning, is Cancer CAUSED by a deficiency of chemotherapy or a deficiency of radiation? Of course not!

Do chemotherapy and radiation both actually CAUSE CANCER? Absolutely, yes they both do, as is well-documented in  medical literature.

Then if chemotherapy and radiation ACTUALLY CAUSE CANCER why are they used to TREAT cancer? Because doctors are not taught the real causes of cancer. In fact, they are taught that no one knows the cause of cancer.

But the cause of cancer IS KNOWN! You can even read about it in the newspapers. The Harvard School of Public Health admits that at least 65% of ALL cancers could be prevented by a change in diet and lifestyle. Actually, the figure is closer to 99% in my opinion, but still that’s a great admission on their part. So there we have the cause: the wrong diet and lifestyle.

So what do we do to get well? It’s NOT difficult to figure out. We GET WELL by CHANGING our diet and lifestyle!!

We all develop cancerous cells in our body every day. If our immune system is working properly, the immune cells will destroy the cancer cells. However, if the immune system is NOT working properly, the cancer cells will build up and we will have a tumor, either of microscopic size or one that is palpable (it can be felt) or one that shows up on some diagnostic test.

So if cancer is a result of the immune system NOT working properly, how do we rebuild the immune system so it WILL work properly? We rebuilt it naturally.

Chemotherapy and radiation DESTROY the immune system, the ONLY system in our body that gets us well and keeps us well from EVERY disease! Chemotherapy and radiation also destroy cells indiscriminately. Chemotherapy is poison and kills cells by poisoning them. It is a chemical and, of course, is unable to tell a cancer cell from a non-cancer cell. That’s why a person’s hair falls out and they get so sick and vomit, because the chemotherapy kills cells indiscriminately. The explanation the doctor gives to justify using chemotherapy is that the chemotherapy tends to kill the cells that are the fastest growing or the fast-dividing cells, thus it will kill MORE cancer cells than normal cells. And this is true. But it kills so MANY normal cells, particularly the immune cells, that the patient often dies from the TREATMENT rather than from the cancer!

Radiation burns out the cancer. It burns everything in its pathway. It also, like chemotherapy, kills cells absolutely indiscriminately and it destroys the immune system.

When the immune system is so severely damaged by chemotherapy or radiation, it can no longer restrain the spread of cancer. It is common after these methods of treatment to find that soon the cancer has returned and spread everywhere!

So how about cutting out the cancer! Does that get rid of it? Here’s another illustration. If you have the chicken pox, would you go to a surgeon and ask him or her to surgically remove all of the chicken pox marks in your skin so you would then be well from the chicken pox? Of course not. You would still have the chicken pox even if you no longer could see the outward manifestations of the disease, because chicken pox is a systemic disease, not a local disease. It affects your whole body.

The same thing is true of cancer. Cancer is NOT a local disease. It is a systemic disease. I developed breast cancer, but it was NOT caused by having too many breasts! Cutting the breast off doesn’t solve the problem, because ALL the factors that allowed the cancer to develop initially are still in your body.

Even if you have the cancer cut out or an organ removed, you still have left in your body ALL of the factors that allowed cancer to develop in the first place. Unless you CHANGE all of those factors, the cancer WILL return either in the same organ or in another organ or you will develop another type of disease. And if you CUT OUT the mass or tumor, what are you going to use to follow your progress in rebuilding your immune system? I’m not suggesting that you shouldn’t have it removed, that decision is up to you. I’m just proposing that you evaluate ALL the options before your proceed.

How about removing the lymph nodes? The lymph nodes are part of your immune system. If they have cancer in them, that means they are doing their job! They are the little guards at the gate whose job it is to keep the cancer from spreading. When the lymph nodes are removed, then the barriers to the spread of cancer are decreased and the cancer can spread more rapidly.

Q. Is the tendency to cancer inherited? Does cancer run in families?

Here’s another illustration. If you see a very obese woman walking down the street with her two young children, one on each side, and the two young children are also very obese, is the children’s obesity inherited? No it isn’t. The mother feeds herself and she feeds the children the same way. If those children AND their mother change their diet appropriately and begin exercising regularly, there is a 99.9% chance they will become thin and fit.

Parents TEACH their children how to eat and how to handle stress, either directly or by example. They teach them good ways to eat and handle stress or they teach them bad ways to eat and bad ways to handle stress. This is the way that disease, including cancer, is handed down from generation to generation – not in the genes (except in very rare cases) but in the ways we are taught to eat and to handle (or NOT handle) life’s stresses.

News From Port Loring & District

We have had our share of snow in the past month that is for sure.  Yesterday I walked down to the shell station to get some gas, as after looking at my driveway decided on cleaning it.  Today I am sure glad I did, as yesterday it was major heavy wet snow.  Took all my snowblower could do to clean it out.  If I would have left it till today I am afraid it would have been one huge block of ice.  So my vibes were right on once again. Saying that, one has to remember we are given these feelings through out ones life for a reason. Reason being they save us a lot of grief.  Most choose not to feel them and act on them.  Today most choose to listen to others, like lawyers, doctors, powers that be and the media and not rely on themselves.  To bad too.  My Opinion Only.  Well tea time here and got to check the old wood furnace.  I suspect it is asking for more.  Have a great day my friends and dress warm if going outside today.  The sun will shine a bit later.

In The News Canada Ranks 10th in Health Care

I see in the news today that Canada ranks ten out of 17 in health care.  I am thinking it is much lower than that.  But even still that sure isn’t being on top of the list.  Their remedy to the problem is this.

In order for Canada to improve its health ranking — and by extension its health-care system — the report recommends the country adopt a health-care model that focuses on primary care practices such as preventing and managing chronic diseases.

Not sure about you, but if you look back through my many many posts, you will see that I have been saying this for years. Cancer and other diseases should be treated with nutrition and prevention, not with the conventional meds and treatments of today, that make the rich richer and the sick sicker.  I also believe that natural fixes should be more explored and brought to being.  Reason being is simple my friends, we are all connected, humans, animals, and nature.  All these along with our true Mother which is earth.  The energy around us that no one seems to feel, is what we are, nothing more.  Source is energy, energy is us. That is where it all started for us and that is where we will all end up. Thing is, the answers are right there in front of us, just most refuse to feel or see them.  Source is there waiting, why not tap into it.

Heavy snow, sometimes accompanied by lightning and thunder in a few locales, occurred throughout the night. The snow will continue for much of the day in most areas. A further 5 to 10 centimetres of snow are expected today bringing the total snowfall amounts to between 15 and 25 cm by this evening.  Now in saying all this, one should take into consideration that 25 cm is only 9 inches old scale.  For one I believe this metric was only brought into our country to deceive folks and if you sit back do some thinking on the subject you will see what my meaning is.  Take a look at the gas, speed limits, wind speeds, temperatures you name it. The truth is right there, one just has to look.  My Opinion Only.  Have a great day and stay safe.

Still quiet around town.  Took me most the morning yesterday to clean out the driveway. But my old sears snow blower made it all pretty easy.  Good old machine, bought it used around fifteen years ago and still runs like a top.  It sure throws snow let me tell ya. Nothing like the ones of today.  Today I am thinking I will just take it easy, maybe write up a story or two for my column in the Nugget.  Enjoy a coffee or two and let the day unfold in front of me. Rough life huh?   So have a great day and will say hello here tomorrow morning.

Other than a lot of snow not much happening around town.  For myself I guess my driveway will be my main objective for this morning. I did manage to drag my old snow blower from the outside shed last night and my wife and I put it in my main shop where it is warm. So if things go well it will start nice and easy and make my snow cleaning a lot easier. First though an nice warm cup of tea is in order, do some chattin’ to the wife, have a bite to eat and then……well, will see what the day brings forward.  Will see some sunshine here in Port Loring Shortly.  Have a great day.

Not much to report here this morning other than a friend here on the Blog was asking what all the construction was going on up around Wolf River.  Al Dare got back to me and said they were putting in a new bridge. So that explains what is happening.  Thanks Al for the information.  Well guess I will go, got to throw another log in the old  furnace, still burning wood in this neck of the woods.  Then thinking on a nice hot cup of tea and after that see what the day brings my way. Have a great day my friends.

Well Family Day weekend is upon us.  Not sure what that is all about LOL as every day is family day for my wife and I.  Some get the day off I suspect but for most folks they are back to work come Monday.   I have to tell ya I enjoy a good holiday weekend but if one is going to put a holiday into effect why not make it for every one.  What I think they should have done is called it Valentines Day Weekend and every one got a day off,  Just some passing thought by someone, I won’t say who, that figured it would be a remembrance of him.  Anyways for those that do have the day off, enjoy the nice weather, get outside and soak in some of that sunshine.  Have a great day.

Touch Of Humor

A touch of humor for a lovely Saturday. KInda’ puts a tear in ones eye.

Susie Lee done fell in love;
She planned to marry Joe.
She was so happy ’bout it all
She told her Pappy so.

Pappy told her, “Susie gal,
You’ll have to find another.
I’d just as soon yo’ Ma don’t know,
But Joe is yo’ half brother.”

So Susie put aside her Joe
And planned to marry Will.
But after telling Pappy this,
He said, “There’s trouble still…

You cain’t marry Will, my gal,
And please don’t tell your Mother,
But Will and Joe and several mo’
I know is yo’ half brother.”

But Mama knew and said, “My child,
Just do what makes you happy.
Marry Will or marry Joe,
You ain’t no kin to Pappy!”

Well still quiet around town, seems that is the thing for most of our winter here.  But that is OK as folks need time for their families and making plans for the coming summer.  I am thinking it will be a good year for businesses, along with some nice weather thrown in for good measure.  Folks are buying items for their homes an cottages, cars are selling with food on top of the list.  Good food too, mostly organic which is a great happening for Canada.  Especially if you figure we are the pill popping country of the world. Sure will make me happy to see an end to that and it will happen, time is all that is needed.  Folks are waking up to what is right and not being fooled anymore.   On another note my data taken from the old weather station says warmer weather is on the way for the coming week up into the high 30s, might even get into the 40s.  Also warmer weather will bring with it some more snow, not a huge amount but should see a few inches mid week.  So you all have a great weekend. Get outside and soak in some of that sun when she shows herself and breath in some of that good northern air.  It’s what our bodies need so desperately.

Natural Bug Spray Safe & Easily Made

With Spring closing in on us, I know there are a lot of folks just itchin to get outside in their gardens.  Myself included.  I like winter as nature does, a time of rest but I like the warmer weather better.  Last year I had a lot of folks ask me about a natural bug spray.  Here is a very good recipe that I am sure will help your plants stand up to them pesky pests along with a few that like the indoors also.  Take a look

You can make your own organic bug spray from kitchen leftovers! Simply save your onion skins, peels and ends then refrigerate in an empty margarine-sized tub or ziplock bag until the container is full. Once you have enough, place the onion pieces in a pail and fill with warm water. Soak for a few days, up to a week. You can keep this on the patio in the sun to steep but this is optional. After one week, strain the onion bits out and store the onion water in spray bottles.

Bury the onion bits around plants that are prone to aphids, spiders and other pests. Just spray both house and garden plants with the water to fight aphids and pests. You can also mix your garlic trimmings in with the onion pieces, bugs hate garlic too!
