News For Port Loring & District

I was talking to Doris, nice lady who heads up Trash and Treasures here in town and she says it is chocked full of items for the coming year.  I have to say that them volunteers that keep the place going sure does a fine job. Not only a fine job, but the work they do there, is simply amazing.  Everything that is sold from that store goes directly to our Fire Department here in town, which over the years has helped immensely.  I can honestly say that it it wasn’t for them, we would be lacking in a lot of items, including some Fire Trucks.  Great folks and if your by there come summer, please drop by and say hello, and let them know how much you appreciate all their hard work.  Have a great day my friends.

Quiet.  Actually it is quite peaceful, folks are sittin’ back and taking life easy.  Can’t say I blame them neither, as won’t be long before the busy season.   Lookin’ forward to them warmer temperatures though.  I have noticed this year that we have had a lot more snow mobiles enjoying the trails around our home.  The Shell station in town is busy as all get out, pumping gas and on the weekends if going by, you will see an endless row of machines waiting to be filled with fuel.  Good to see them out and about,  as means folks aren’t staying cooped up in their homes and out doing what they enjoy.  Last year there wasn’t as many, thinking the media had folks minds messed up, thinking things were so bad out there financially wise that they stayed home.  Not a good thing and folks have to rely on their own way of thinking and doing things and not be swayed by others.  My way of lookin at things.  Well tea time here so you all have a great day.

Still quiet around town.  Took me most the morning yesterday to clean out the driveway. Nothing like the ones of today.  Today I am thinking I will just take it easy, maybe write up a story or two for my column in the Nugget.  Enjoy a coffee or two and let the day unfold in front of me. Rough life huh?   So have a great day and will say hello here tomorrow morning.

Other than a lot of snow not much happening around town.  For myself I guess my driveway will be my main objective for this morning. I did manage to drag my old snow blower from the outside shed last night and my wife and I put it in my main shop where it is warm. So if things go well it will start nice and easy and make my snow cleaning a lot easier. First though an nice warm cup of tea is in order, do some chattin’ to the wife, have a bite to eat and then……well, will see what the day brings forward.  Will see some sunshine here in Port Loring Shortly.  Have a great day.

Well still quiet around town, seems that is the thing for most of our winter here.  But that is OK as folks need time for their families and making plans for the coming summer.  I am thinking it will be a good year for businesses, along with some nice weather thrown in for good measure.  Folks are buying items for their homes an cottages, cars are selling with food on top of the list.  Good food too, mostly organic which is a great happening for Canada.  Especially if you figure we are the pill popping country of the world. Sure will make me happy to see an end to that and it will happen, time is all that is needed.  Folks are waking up to what is right and not being fooled anymore.   On another note my data taken from the old weather station says warmer weather is on the way for the coming week up into the high 30s, might even get into the 40s.  Also warmer weather will bring with it some more snow, not a huge amount but should see a few inches mid week.  So you all have a great weekend. Get outside and soak in some of that sun when she shows herself and breath in some of that good northern air.  It’s what our bodies need so desperately.

Natural Bug Spray Safe & Easily Made

With Spring closing in on us, I know there are a lot of folks just itchin to get outside in their gardens.  Myself included.  I like winter as nature does, a time of rest but I like the warmer weather better.  Last year I had a lot of folks ask me about a natural bug spray.  Here is a very good recipe that I am sure will help your plants stand up to them pesky pests along with a few that like the indoors also.  Take a look

You can make your own organic bug spray from kitchen leftovers! Simply save your onion skins, peels and ends then refrigerate in an empty margarine-sized tub or ziplock bag until the container is full. Once you have enough, place the onion pieces in a pail and fill with warm water. Soak for a few days, up to a week. You can keep this on the patio in the sun to steep but this is optional. After one week, strain the onion bits out and store the onion water in spray bottles.

Bury the onion bits around plants that are prone to aphids, spiders and other pests. Just spray both house and garden plants with the water to fight aphids and pests. You can also mix your garlic trimmings in with the onion pieces, bugs hate garlic too!

Cancer & Tumers

Think on this, just one more quality item to ponder on before you make your decision on what is right or wrong when it comes to cancer and tumor treatments.

Why does the cancer industry continue to use chemotherapy, radiation and other toxic procedures to “kill tumors” when the latest science clearly shows that cancer tumors are only the symptoms, not the cause, of cancer? Chemotherapy destroys immune function and causes permanent damage to the heart, brain and liver…

Also the cancer industry routinely attacks anti-cancer herbs, superfoods and supplements. Why is the cancer industry opposed to anti-cancer nutrition? Why does it believe that only man, not nature, can manufacture anti-cancer medicines?  I am thinking you should be able to see what is happening. If not you should be.

Asparagus Cancer Information From A Friend

Hi George, thought you might be interested in this article.

Asparagus — Who knew?
From a friend:
My Mom had been taking the full-stalk canned style asparagus, pureed it and took 4 tablespoons in the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3 lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer cell count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week. Her oncologist said she will not need to see him for 3 months.
THE ARTICLE:
Several years ago I met a man seeking asparagus for a friend who had cancer. He gave me a copy of an article, entitled “Asparagus For Cancer” printed in the Cancer News Journal, December 1979.  I will share it here, just as it was shared with me: I am a biochemist, and have specialized in the relation of diet to health or over 50 years. Several years ago, I learned of the discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that asparagus might cure cancer. Since then, I have worked with him on his project.  We have accumulated a number of favorable case histories.  Here are a few examples:
Case No. 1, A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin’s disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely incapacitated. Within 1 year of starting the asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.
Case No. 2, A successful businessman, 68 years old, suffered from cancer of the bladder for 16 years. After years of medical treatments, including radiation without improvement, he began taking asparagus. Within 3 months, examinations revealed that his bladder tumour had disappeared and that his kidneys were normal.
Case No. 3, On March 5th 1971, a man who had lung cancer was put on the operating table where they found lung cancer so widely spread that it was inoperable. The surgeon sewed him up and declared his case hopeless. On April 5th he heard about the Asparagus therapy and immediately started taking it.  By August, x-ray pictures revealed that all signs of the cancer had disappeared.  He is now back at his regular business routine.
Case No. 4, A woman had been troubled for a number of years with skin cancer. She developed different skin cancers which were diagnosed by the acting specialist as advanced. Within 3 months after beginning asparagus therapy, the skin specialist said her skin looked fine with no more skin lesions.  This woman reported that the asparagus therapy also cured her kidney disease, which had started in 1949. She had over 10 operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus treatment.
I was not surprised at this result as `The elements of materia medica’, edited in1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania , stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even referred to experiments, in 1739, on the power of asparagus in dissolving stones. Note the dates!
We would have other case histories but the medical establishment has interfered with our obtaining some of the records. I am therefore appealing to readers to spread this good news and help us to gather a large number of case histories that will overwhelm the medical sceptics about this unbelievably simple and natural remedy.
For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using.  Fresh or canned asparagus can be used. I have corresponded with the two leading caners of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, and I am satisfied that these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives.  Place the  cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to make a puree.  Store in the refrigerator. Give the patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening. Patients usually show some improvement in 2-4 weeks. It can be diluted with water and used as a cold or hot drink. This suggested dosage is based on present experience, but certainly larger amounts can do no harm and may be needed in some cases. As a biochemist I am convinced of the old saying that `what cures can prevent.’ Based on this theory, my wife and have been using asparagus puree as a beverage with our meals. We take 2 tablespoons diluted in water to suit our taste with breakfast and with dinner. I take mine hot and my wife prefers hers cold. For years we have made it a practice to have blood surveys taken as part of our regular checkups. The last blood survey, taken by a medical doctor who specializes in the nutritional approach to health, showed substantial improvements in all categories over the last one, and we can attribute these improvements to nothing but the asparagus drink. As a biochemist, I have made an extensive  of all aspects of cancer, and all of the proposed cures. As a result, I am convinced that asparagus fits in better with the latest theories about cancer.
Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth. For that reason, I believe asparagus can be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth normaliser. That accounts for its action on cancer and in acting as a general body tonic. In any event, regardless of theory, asparagus used as we suggest, is a harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from using it and it may do you much good. It has been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body’s most potent anticarcinogens and antioxidants.
Just a side note… In case you are wondering why this has not been made public, there is no profit in curing cancer!

News For Port Loring & District

Well not much to report here again today. Did go to town again yesterday as my wife and I had some things to do for the Local Services Board here in town.  I often wonder if the folks in our district really realize what we five members  do behind the scenes.  Not to forget our secretary Nancy.  One also has to remember us five don’t make a cent, as it is all volunteer work. Not complaining mind ya, as i put in for the job a few years ago realizing what was involved, as the other four have done.  Just that a lot goes on at the Local Service Board, all for the good of our community.  Sure there are a few heated moments now and then, but for most parts with this Board i can honestly say, things are getting done.  Things that will help our community grow and thrive for years to come.  Also things are being put in place that will last for years after we five have left.  Also guidelines that make it easier for new members to adapt.   Yep the Local Services Board has changed over the past three years let me tell ya. A Board that one can come to, sit down an leave knowing exactly what is going on through out our community.  How’s that? Sound OK? Best I can come up with at the moment. Have a great day my friends.

The Truth About Cancer

The Article below is a very Good piece on how and what Cancer really is.  I have been saying this now in my own words, spoken slightly different of course, but same meaning.  I really believe this is what is happening, and what we have to do, is work with cancer, not try and kill it.  Reason being, we can’t kill it, it is to strong and to smart.    I know for myself dealing with cancer as I have been now for the last year, everything is pointing up hill and the way I am doing it is totally using natural treatments and nourishment.  I don’t believe that the medicines of today chemo, radiation or cutting it out is the way to go.  I am totally against those treatments and if more folks took the time to sit back, look at the big picture, do the research, they also will find out that what I say is the truth. The treatments of today just make the Cancer work harder to survive. You might kill some of it once, but you won’t kill all .   It will adapt and come back with a vengeance, guaranteed.   Now take a look at this article which is very well written.  My Opinion Only.

A new view may shed light on why chemotherapy and radiotherapy have such dismal track records. Tumors often contain a mixture of both highly malignant and benign cell populations. The treatment may destroy the benign cells, releasing the “chemoresistant” and “radioresistant” populations to wreak havoc on the body of the patient. Often treatment failure is attributed to the “treatment resistant” nature of the cancer, when it is a direct result of the inherent toxicity and lack of effectiveness of the therapy being used. In the same way that antibiotics like methicilin have spawned “super germs” like MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus), conventional cancer treatment is often responsible for generating greater resistance and subsequent malignancy within certain tumor populations. If the transformation of a healthy cell into a cancerous one is caused by acute and chronic exposures to xenobiotic chemicals, as well as nutrient deficiencies, the use of many conventional anti-cancer drugs actually ads fuel on the fire, forcing those cells to regress further back into their ancestral genetic tool-kits for the means to survive the onslaught. Do we blame the cells for responding in this manner, or do we acknowledge the failure of conventional treatment methods?
