What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Oct 7/2022

It’s a cloudy, cool morning here in Port Loring. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at 2.4 C | 36.32 F. It will warm up a bit, but not much as the day moves forward. We are also having some rain, which will ease off after lunch. The long weekend isn’t looking all that good weather wise. But you never know, all we can do is hope for the best. We have our oldest son driving up from St Catharines for Thanksgiving and will go back home on Sunday. We were hoping for nice sunny weather, so they could take in the nice colours on their way up. It is also windy out, which is knocking down the leaves. I did get the mowing done yesterday, but with the leaves falling, you would never know I did it. Highway 522 is wet this morning and quiet. I suspect the highways will be busy today and into the night with folks travelling for Thanksgiving. We are still having a lot of hunters moving into our area, which will continue until the end of December, that’s when hunting season is over.

I also got our shower-house outside closed up for winter yesterday and will close up the cottage after Thanksgiving. After that, we should be all set for winter. I still have to move my snowblower to where I can get at it, but there is lots of time to do that.

With that, I am off for a bowl of cereal and will then turn on some heat in our cottage, getting it nice and toasty in there for our son and his family.

Good Morning! Click on Picture to Enlarge.

Bear Tracks going across our garden.

Waking up, we are seeing a few clouds, but the sun is … trying to show itself. Yesterday was real nice, warm and lots of sunshine. With that said, we could see some rain this afternoon and into tomorrow. But it looks as if we will have some sunshine over Thanksgiving. The downside, it will be a bit cool after today. Highway 522 is bare and dry with lots of hunters moving into our area for the bear hunt. Actually, there has been a bear walking around our house now for the past few weeks in search of some of our apples. I posted a picture of his tracks in our vegetable garden at the top of the page.

On another note, my lovely wife and I did get a lot of outside work done yesterday. And now we are pretty well all set for winter, other than closing up our cottage and shower house. I am thinking I might turn off the water and put some more antifreeze in the toilet bowl as it is going to be well be low freezing tomorrow night. Today, I will mow our grass for the last time this year. As much as it is a lot of work, I will miss it. Being not well all summer, I missed out on a lot of the outside work. But the good thing is I am able to do some things now. So I have that to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

With that I am off for my breakfast and will then see if I can get our lawn cut.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on October 5/2022

It’s a sunny morning here in Port Loring. The temperatures have also warmed, with it sitting at 7.3 C | 45.14 F waking up. It will warm up a lot as the day moves forward. Actually, today will feel like summer with it being so warm. Great day for getting the last of our outdoor things done up for winter, Highway 522 is bare and dry with a lot of hunters moving into our area. There will be a lot of them now right through till the end of December. Which is normal for this time of year. The animals like deer, moose and bear along with a lot of different birds are very active these days. It’s as if they know what is taking place and are working real hard to evade these folks with guns and bows. Can’t say I blame them, either.

On another note, my lovely wife and I went to town yesterday to pick up a few things for Thanksgiving, and I have to tell you, the leaves on the trees were beautiful. Colours of all kinds. We sure enjoyed taking them all in as we drove along. I would say we are right in the middle of things now and if you’re wanting to see the colours then this is the time to do so. In another couple weeks they will be mostly gone. Even quicker if we get some more rain along with some heavy frosts. I

We had a good trip to town and a good trip back, stopping off at a roadside park to enjoy our lunch. Sure was nice chatting away, taking in what nature has to offer. As I said many times, I enjoy doing that more than going into a restaurant. Lot cheaper too.

Today I will finish up some outside work being so nice outside and will then see about some front porch sittin’ Have a great day and get outside and enjoy the nice weather. You won’t be able to do so in the near future.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Oct 3/2022

It’s a real frosty morning here waking up in Port Loring. The temperature was sitting at -0.2 C | 31.64 F. It will warm up as the day moves forward. Tomorrow will be even warmer. Which will be nice. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning in-spite of the heavy frost.

On another note I did manage to get our vegetable garden rototilled up yesterday, and in the afternoon we planted our garlic for next year. We don’t put in all that much but enough for planting the following year, along with enough for us for winter. I also noticed some tracks going across our freshly tilled garden, which turned out to be bear tracks, when I went out for a closer look. I think he is after our apples on a tree we have out back. He isn’t a large one, but where there is a small one, there is usually a large one not too far off.

We also had our power go off around midnight last night and it didn’t come back on till 6:30 AM this morning. They said they were upgrading our lines or something to that effect. It would have been nice if they had warned us ahead of time, like maybe a phone call. A few folks put it on the internet, but that isn’t much help for those that doesn’t have internet or a computer. If we knew it was going to go out, people could be more prepared. When it did come back on it stayed on, at least so far

My wife and I did drag out our Generator around 5:00 AM and let it run for a bit while our house warmed up. Nice to have for sure. Again there are a lot of folks that doesn’t have a generator, or to old to drag it out and get it working. We have a hard enough time ourselves. Takes the two of us. The only heat some have in our area is Propane or Oil. So with the hydro being out for over 6 hours the house can get a bit chilly.

With that I am off for a bowl of oatmeal and will then see what the day has in store. I didn’t get to cleaning my shop yesterday, but we did get a lot of other things done up for winter. I still have to close up the cottage winterizing it, but we are waiting till after Thanksgiving as our boys are coming home for a visit for a few days. We are cutting it a bit close with it being so cold. I did put some antifreeze in our toilet outside, which should save any issues with freezing. Not much just a bit. After the kids leave we will do it up right.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Oct 2/2022

It’s a sunny morning here in Port Loring. Not a cloud in the sky. It is a bit cool though, with the temperature waking up sitting at 2.9 C | 37.22 F. It will warm up a bit as the day moves forward. But not much. Yesterday was nice and warm and we did manage to get some front porch sittin’ in. I like to take advantage of the warm weather when ever we can, as once the real cold weather hits it sticks around for a long time. Highway 522 wasn’t to busy yesterday, but being that Thanksgiving is closing in on us it will pick up a bit nearing the weekend.

On another note I didn’t do all that much yesterday other than a few things here in the house. Kind of took things easy. My lovely wife however is busy doing up preserves for winter along with some other things that she knows we will enjoy. It’s great having a woman that can do all these things.

Today I will work away in my shop for a bit. Maybe light my old wood stove to warm things up a bit. I also have to haul some firewood from my bush and put it under the lean-to so it can dry. I don’t use it for the house furnace as it is pine and gums up the chimney to much. But for my shop stove it works fine. I can burn anything and everything in it. Now that is the plan, but we will see how that pans out in a bit.

With that I am off for my morning bowl of oatmeal.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Oct 1/2022

It’s a bit cloudy this morning. However we should see some sunshine as the day progresses. Which is okay with me as I enjoy sunshine. Yesterday we enjoyed our front porch for a spell taking in all the colors on the trees that surround our home. Sure is a pretty time of year. My wife and I can’t get enough of it. Highway 522 is still a bit busy and I suspect it will get even busier with us closing in on Thanksgiving.

The temperature was cool through the night and waking up it was sitting at 3.7 C | 38.66 F. It will warm up a wee bit later on. The good news is we still haven’t been burning any wood, which is nice, as I like to save it for when it gets really cold. We have though been burning oil every morning, which keeps the dampness out of the house. Feels good too.

Other than that not much happening in and around our small town. Which is normal for us. My lovely wife and I like it that way, that is why we moved here years ago. For the quietness, away from all what is taking place in the world today. We had enough of it throughout our life’s. and want no part of it now. They can do what they want, but leave us out of it.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal and will then begin working on another Podcast. I never realized how many people were looking forward to them. It took me an hour yesterday replying to all the emails that folks sent me. I don’t mind though, as if folks are enjoying them and they put a smile on there faces, what could be better than that.

Oh and I would also like to thank all those that bought me a coffee using the Coffee Button here in my Blog. Nothing better than to be highly caffeinated working on these Podcasts … along with my Blog. Ha ha I appreciate it.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Sept 30/2022

Good Morning!

We are finally seeing some sunshine here in Port Loring this morning. Sure looks pretty out there with the sun shinning on all the colored leaves. It is the prettiest time of the year. Although spring & summer in our area, can be nice too. We did have another frost through the night with the temperature waking up sitting at 2.4 C | 36.32 F. We should see sunshine now for the next 5 or 6 days. It will also warm up a bit too. Which is fine with me, as we still have a few things that needs to be done outside, before winter arrives. We do however have most things ready. Highway 522 is still a touch busy these days. I have noticed a lot of older campers moving up and down the highway. It’s amazing that so many of these old campers are still around. Nice to see them though, as it brings back some fine memories, as does other things of old.

Yesterday I mowed our grass which has been growing a lot these days The frost will slow it down some now. After that we will be cleaning up the leaves from our Maple and Basswood trees, which I will rototiller into our vegetable garden just before the ground freezes. I also have to plant our garlic for next year, but I think it can wait for another week. I do however, like to get it in a bit early so that it has a bit of time to get established. I found it grows larger when doing that. It also isn’t as hot. Easier on the stomach.

This morning I will work away on another Podcast until it warms up a bit, and if I feel up to it I will then do some outside work. We will see … I never know these days how the old body will preform. As the old saying goes … One Day At A Time. Sometimes one hour at a time. Ha ha.

With that I am off for some Pancakes that my Lovely Wife is making for me. Occasionally she lets me have a couple. Too much sugar isn’t the best health wise.

What’s Happening in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Sept 28/2022

It’s a cloudy day for us here in Port Loring. But at least the rain is finished for now. I think. We should be seeing lots of sunshine after today for the next week. That is … if Hurricane Ian doesn’t causes any grief. Not that we would get the storm that Sarasota Florida is going to get, but we could get some more rain. So we will see, I am hoping for sunshine. Highway 522 is slow this morning but it will pick up as the day progresses. Not as busy as it has been but there are still a lot of campers moving into our area. A lot of hunters and fishermen.

On another note my lovely wife and I went to town yesterday to pick up a few things. Along our way we noticed how the leaves were changing colors and I suspect in another week we will be in the middle of it. It is nice right now. If we have more rain it will make short work of them. Lets hope the sun holds it course, which will make it real nice for folks to get out and take in the beauty they are giving off.

In North Bay it was quite busy. I don’t think anyone works anymore as the parking lots were full, and the streets were bumper to bumper. Sign of what is going on these days. While there we picked up our groceries, bought some lunch and ate it in the car while people watching. Interesting to say the least. Something different to do for a change. We still wear our mask when going into stores as we don’t want to catch the virus ,or any other thing that is going around. We are in the minority now. But that is okay they can do what they want to do, and we will do what we want to do.

After picking up what we needed we headed on back home enjoying the scenery as we drove along. It was a full day but a good day. Today we will take it easy. Or at least I will. I have to still finish up my Thanksgiving Podcast. My wife is going to be making some things for Thanksgiving dinner, which is closing in on us fast. Boy time has flown by this year.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal and a piece of toast and will then get to work.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Sept 27/2022

We sure have had our share of rain lately. But it is necessary, as the plants and trees were in dire need of a good drink before their long winters nap. Highway 522 is picking up a bit these days with lots of campers moving around. The temperatures haven’t been all that bad so far, but we have had to turn on our oil furnace for the past week. We don’t need it on long, just in the mornings, long enough to warm up our old bones, along with taking out the dampness in the house. Feels good too. We haven’t had to burn any wood yet, which is a good thing, as we like to keep it for January and February when it gets real cold. Occasionally we burn a bit in December. Another reason is, it gets to hot in here if the temperatures are not that cold outside. It wasn’t always that way, but now that we insulated all the walls and under the eves upstairs, things are much warmer. It was a good investment that we made a few years ago. It took my wife and I all of one summer to do everything. Saved a lot of money doing it ourselves. We are also happy we did it when we did. As we wouldn’t be able to do it now, with the price of everything. There is some crazy prices out there today and there is no reason it should be this high. They think they have us by the short hair, but they are wrong, as people now are not buying things as they once were. Eventually they will have to drop their prices … or go out of business. Once that happens, you will hear more … crying the blues wanting more of the working mans money … saying they need it to stay afloat. It’s a crazy world we live in right now. But … we the people still have the upper hand, all we have to do is put our money away until things comes down in price. That’s what we are doing and will continue to do, till the country comes to it’s senses. Of course that might take awhile knowing the mentality of a lot of folks these days.

On another note with the rain and all, my lovely wife and I have been working on some projects here in the house where it is warm and dry. Today by the looks of things we will do the same.

It’s good to vent, now and then ... releases the pressure. Ha ha. Good to laugh too.

What’s Happening in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Sept 26/2022

Yep another rainy day here in Port Loring. We also had a lot of heavy rain through the night. I don’t really mind though, as I enjoy listening to it on the roof. The temperatures are holding these days with it sitting at 11.1 C | 51.98 F getting out of bed. The good news is the rain should give away to lots of sunshine starting Thursday. But that all depends on which way Hurricane Ian heads. At the moment it looks like it has Florida in its sights. I hope they make out okay, as life has been hard enough the past two years without having to deal with Nature. But then again that is what life is all about. What will be will be, so best make the most out of every day. I found that to be true over the years. Highway 522 was quiet yesterday, but I suspect it will pick up later on today and get real busy nearing the end of the week. Its been that way since we moved here 20 years ago.

Yesterday I took it a bit easy working on my 101 Podcast. Which is all about how we celebrated Thanksgiving years ago. Today being a wet day I will finish it. The wife however worked all day doing the wash and making meals. She is a hard working woman for sure. A pretty one too! She is trying as I am to get things done up … so she has time to do her paintings this winter. Which is something she enjoys.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal and will then see what mischief I can get into. Stay safe.

It’s a cloudy rainy morning here in Port Loring. It isn’t as cool as it was, with the temperature getting out of bed sitting at 10.3 C | 50.54 F. Yesterday turned out to be a really nice day with lots of sunshine thrown in for good measure. Highway 522 has been quite busy. Today with the rain and being Sunday … I suspect things will slow down.

On another note my wife and I have been real busy for the past week getting things done up for winter along, with all the things I didn’t get done with being laid up all summer. It’s amazing what can be done when two old Clydesdale’s pull together. Same goes with my wife and I. I wrote a story about that awhile ago for one of my columns.

Being that we worked so hard the past few days we are going to take the day off today. At least for most parts, as my lovely wife is doing a wash. Women’s work is never done they say, and I agree with that. Men would be hard pressed if we didn’t have them.

I might make a loaf of home made bread this morning. I did have a great recipe that I was given to me by the folks that used to have the General Store here in town, but somehow I lost it. It was a real good one too, that could be made in a bread maker. Since I lost it the bread isn’t the same.

With that I am off for a bite to eat and will then see what the day has in store, other than what I have planned. You never know. Stay safe. GW

What’s Happening in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Sept 24/2022

It’s another cool morning here in Port Loring. The temperature waking up was sitting at 3.1 C | 37.58 F. It will warm up later on. The sun is shinning though, which should make it a real nice day. Highway 522 was quite busy yesterday. I did notice a lot of campers going up and down the highway. So there are a few still wanting to enjoy the north. Can’t say I blame then either as it is a pretty time of year with all the leaves on the trees changing colors.

On another note my wife and I did manage to get our vegetable garden cleaned out and ready to rototiller up yesterday. We also got the the grass cut and the weed-eating done. Sure looks nice around our home now. Every window you look out of, looks like a park. Actually better than a park.

Today I will see if I can get my old tiller running and if so will do up the garden. I enjoy looking at the soil when all worked up. I guess it brings me back to my days on the farm. I do miss them days.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal that my lovely wife is making for me and will then see what I can get done. Have a great day.

What’s Happening On Sept 23/2022 In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada

Starting things off, our temperature sure dropped through the night. Waking up it was sitting at 1.3 C | 34.34 F. We also had our second frost. It will warm up a wee bit as the day moves forward. The good news is we will see some sunshine today. Sunshine always makes the day just that much better. The gloomy days seem to make human minds wonder a bit. Highway 522 is picking up a bit traffic wise, with a few tourists not wanting to believe that winter is heading our way. I can’t say I blame them either. I know I’m not ready. I am however getting some of our outside work caught up which makes me smile. Today I will clean up the weeds in our vegetable gardens, and mow some grass that needs to be cut. For the past few days my wife and I have been working on our lean-to that we keep our wood in. It was leaning a bit too much, so we tied a rope and a winch to a tree and pulled it straight. Took some doing. Once we had that looked after we got busy and braced it a lot better than it was. Should be good now for another few years. I hope. The way I was health wise I didn’t think I would get it done. But a little at a time works.

My wife picked the last of our tomatoes, peppers, squash and cucumbers late in the day yesterday. As they were calling for a heavy frost. We didn’t want to loose them as it will be awhile before we get any more good tasting produce. Although my wife did put a lot of tomatoes in the freezer this year. Which will sure be tasty later on this winter. The ones in the stores have no taste what’s so ever. If you didn’t see the tomato before you ate it, you wouldn’t even know they were tomatoes. Like a lot of other veggies too these days. People today go by looks not taste or smells. With that I am off for a bowl of cereal that my lovely wife is making for me and will then see if that grass is dry enough to cut. Stay Safe.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Sept. 22/2022

It’s another cloudy wet morning here in Port Loring, We are having some light rain at the moment. In saying that the rain should ease off in a bit and if lucky we could see some sunshine. I hope so as I do have some things that need to be attended too outside. I have been doing a few things lately but have to take things easy. Least that is what my lovely wife keeps tellin’ me. Ha ha. Highway 522 is a wee busy these days, with a few people moving around. I see the price of gas has gone down a wee bit, which will let folks travel a bit more. But the cost of things doesn’t help that’s for sure. Groceries are taking the biggest toll on people these days.

The temperature waking up was a bit cool with it sitting at 8.4 C | 47.12 F.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal and will then see what the day has in store. Stay safe.

Its another cloudy morning here in Port Loring. But in saying that, we should see some sunshine later on. However … tomorrow things will start to cool down a lot. Sign of what’s to come. Highway 522 is quiet which is a norm for this time of year. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at 15.9 C | 60.62 F.

On another note my wife and I had to go to Sundridge yesterday for an appointment. The trip there and back was pretty good. We noticed that the leaves on the trees were changing a lot, and I suspect we will be in the middle of our fall leaves in another week or so. Especially if things cools down. While there we picked up a few groceries, had our lunch in our car at a small park. You could call it going on a picnic. We usually buy some nice meat at a deli along with some old cheddar cheese, and a few kaiser buns. The wife then puts things together and we enjoy our surroundings with lots of chatting thrown in for good measure. We enjoy doing things like that, more so than going into a restaurant. A lot cheaper too.

After an hour or so we headed on home enjoying a cup of fresh perked coffee that my lovely wife made before we left. Great day for sure. But then again any day we are together is a great day.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal and will then see if I can get a few things done outside before the cold weather enters into the picture. Stay safe.

It’s another cloudy morning here in Port Loring. However we should see a bit of sunshine as the day moves forward. The temperatures aren’t all that bad with it sitting at 13.8 C | 56.84 F. It will warm up a bit later on. The good thing is we didn’t need to turn on our oil furnace. I do think though that the oil prices have dropped a wee bit. Which is a good thing, with winter edging into the picture. Highway 522 is still quiet these days. Hunters will be moving in shortly. One class of people moves out … another moves in. This kind of country is always changing. Something like our leaves are doing now.

Yesterday being that it rained off and on for most of the day, I worked on a Thanksgiving Podcast. It will be live in a few days. It will be my 101th episode. I am hoping for the winter I will be able to another every week or so. We will see how that turns out.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario Canada on Sept. 19/2022

It’s a cloudy noisy morning here in Port Loring. Overnight we had lots of heavy rain, along with major thunder and lightning. It woke me up a few times. And we just had another whopper of a storm go through a few minutes ago. But … we were in dire need of rain that’s for sure, as the trees and plants need it with their preparation for winter. Not that I am looking forward to that. Highway 522 is still very quiet these days. I am thinking that a lot of people are hurting financial. And I suspect it will get a lot worse in the months ahead. The reason being … we here in Canada are so overly taxed. When the people are being taxed more than they are making, not so good things begin to happen. Along with that though … I also believe that a lot of folks are, and have been living beyond their means. Feeding their wants instead of their needs. A lot have been led down a path making them believe that what ever the Powers That Be says … is right, when it is not. It;s kind of like what us old farmers did to our horses years ago. We put blinders on the side of their eyes so they couldn’t see what was going on around them.

On another note my wife and I had a nice weekend with our son coming for a visit. He stayed for the weekend heading back late in the day yesterday. While here he fixed all our technical things that needed fixing, along with us catching up on a lot of other things. It’s great to be able to get together again.

Today being that it is raining I will work away here on my computer, that is if the power stays on. It has been going off and on now for the past half hour or so. Since our Powers that be sold the largest part of Hydro One there has been more power outages than ever before. You know, I am beginning to think we all might be better fending for ourselves than have them run our country.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal that my lovely wife is making for me and will then see what the day has in store. Stay safe, there is a lot of sickness out there these days since the masks were removed. Makes the Pharmaceutical companies happy.

It’s a very cloudy morning here in Port Loring. We didn’t have any rain overnight, but it is calling for some later on. We will have to see how that plays out. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at 13.8 C | 56.84 F. It will warm up a wee bit as the day moves forward. Highway 522 is very slow traffic wise this morning. The leaves on the trees are showing more color every day now, with them getting ready for their long rest. The Humming birds has left us for another year, as a lot of our Canadian Geese. The Robins has been visiting us daily cleaning up the remaining berries on the Choke Cherry tress. It won’t be long before they head south too.

My wife and I have been slowly but steadily getting all the things around our house here ready for winter. Still lots to do but a little at a time gets things done. We still have to close up our cottage along with our store. Once that is finished I will see how I am health wise, and if able I will then rototiller up our vegetable garden. Once that is done I will put in a row or two of garlic and we will be all set. I am not looking forward to winter this year.

It would be nice if we were able to head on down to Florida for the winter, but with the exchange rate on the dollar being so high I don’t suspect we will be able to go. We also have been looking for a place to stay down there but so far we haven’t found any. A feller hates to hand out money these days not knowing the people he is giving it too. You never know though, something might come along.

With that I am off for some home made waffles, that my lovely wife is making for me, and we will then see what the day has in store.

What’s Happening In Port Loring, Ontario On Sept. 16/2022

It’s a damp morning here in Port Loring, Ontario. We did have a wee bit of rain through the night. At the moment it is just cloudy. We could see some showers off and on throughout the day. Temperature wise we had to turn on our oil furnace here in the house this morning, to take out the dampness and warm things up a bit. Getting out of bed it was sitting at 10.3 C | 50.54 F. It’s not as cool as it was yesterday. It looks like the rain will stay with us for the next three days or so.

Highway 522 was a touch busy yesterday with a lot of old campers moving into our area. It’s a different class of people that starts to move into our area this time of year. Yesterday I did manage to finish up installing the new door at the back of our house which leads into our store. I have to admit it looks pretty nice. The one that was on there seen its better days. Today I will clean up my woodworking shop as it is a mess. If there is one thing I can do is make a mess. The trouble is most of my projects take numerous tools. Not complaining mind ya as without them I wouldn’t be able to fix, build or make anything. Of course the knowledge on how to use them tools comes in handy too.

With that I am off for a bowl of cereal that my lovely wife is making for me and will then see what they day has in store … and what my body will allow me to do.

We are in the midst of some sunshine this morning here in Port Loring. It is cool though with the temperature getting down to 7.1 C | 44.78 F. We also had our first frost through the night. It wasn’t bad but it is a sign of what’s to come. Figuring we might get a frost I did cover up my pumpkins. We also have some red and yellow peppers to be picked along, with a few tomatoes, and some cucumbers. I will do that today. Lots to do this time of year getting things done up for winter. We did manage to get our firewood in with the help of my son Craig. He came up for a few days a month ago and helped my wife put it in the basement. So we shouldn’t be cold this winter. I wasn’t able to do it at the time. Highway 522 is slow these days, most of our tourists has left for the year heading back to the big cities. But as soon as the cold disappears in the spring they will be back.

Yesterday I worked a wee bit installing our new back door. The door I had was a bit large for the opening so had to do some working to get it to fit. Today I will finish things up. I hope. We will see how my body is feeling. While I do that my lovely wife will do some mowing around the house. With that I am off for my breakfast and will then see what I can do.
