Cancer
In the news today. Is the war on cancer an ‘utter failure’?: A sobering look at how billions in research money is spent http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/03/15/war-on-cancer/
Well of course it is a failure. Today as I keep on saying time and time again that it all boils down to money. They today have gotten into their minds that the treatments today that they have been using for numerous years like chemotherapy, radiation and things like that are the answer where as they in my eyes are wrong. I myself also believe that most pharmaceutical drugs cause more problems than they fix. They some of the so called specialists care not to venture any further with new ideas, especially those that relate to nature. Nature is all around us as is the diseases. Doesn’t take a scientist to see that. I don’t blame all doctors though as it is all they know, all they have been taught. Today they have blinders on and like a young child they rebel and want things all their own way and refuse to look at what is the truth. Not all though but most. There is some good doctors out there today that choose to use both ways bringing together what needs to be done. Using nature along with common sense. It’s a shame when one relays strictly on others when they can for most parts fix most things themselves. Again I don’t blame them as it is all they know. I just hope that the doctors that does have vision, makes headways into finding out what one needs. Or I should say has the whit and stamina to bring forth the truth. Most of all these good doctors know, but hold back in fear of, well I think you all know. For most parts I believe the remedies are within our reach but most choose not to look or seek them out. My Opinion Only.
Problems With Modern Day Medicine & Treatments
This next article is about radiation and cancer. First off for myself I believe that no radiation or chemo is good for anyone suffering from cancer or what ever for that matter. From all I have read and folks that i have talked to in the long run it only makes things worse to bad. Folks have to realize that for most parts cancer is brought on by our life style that we have or live today. I will say this though. The sooner we find out we have cancer or any other disease the sooner we can treat them ourselves using natural treatments that are there for all to use along with good common sense. Meaning; Change a few things like healthy eating, exercise and bringing forth a good frame of mind. I have seen time an time again folks taking routes to health by using a lot of our modern day medicines with results that end up being….. well lets just leave it at that. They say that folks shouldn’t panic. Well in my eyes they should. Like food . A little pesticide in our food is OK they say, but in reality it isn’t. Reason being that there is pesticides in every thing we eat pretty well, all but organic and some of that we have to watch as they treat some organic apples and pears with antibiotics and over time we get more that our body can handle, then problems arise. Same as ex-rays, tests like Colonoscopy. Endoscopy, Biopsies. For no Reason other than speculation, Mammograms, too many to name. All of these in my eyes could be eliminated or used only when absolutely necessary. All are also in my eyes dangerous and should be thought on very carefully before going ahead. There is alternatives some just outside your door, just most today don’t know where to look. Like Dandelion Roots & Chaga two of the very best. I for one believe we should use modern day means to find out what is ailing us, then go ahead and treat ourselves by ourselves. No one and I mean no one, knows our body better than ourselves. No Brag just Fact. At any rate that is my view on things for this morning and remember. My Opinion Only. Here is the article
Women treated with radiation for breast cancer are more likely to develop heart problems later, even with the lower doses used today, troubling new research suggests. The risk comes from any amount of radiation, starts five years after treatment and lasts for decades, doctors found.
Patients shouldn’t panic — radiation has improved cancer survival, (I Don’t Believe This For One Second) and that is the top priority, doctors say. The chance of suffering a radiation-induced heart problem is fairly small

New St. Catharines Ontario Hospital
Well new hospitals being built and opened all over Canada these days. Billions of dollars being spent. Is it a good thing. Well I would say yes in some respects, but one has to remember that a Hospital is only as good as the people that works there and in saying that, I will say no more on the new hospital part. I also believe that, if most our money was put into seeking out natural cures, eating right, exercise outside in the fresh air, soaking up sunshine, along with living a good life style, that most of these hospitals wouldn’t be needed. My Opinion Only.

Managed to get the weather sensor back up and running. Working good now with a few minor calibrations needed on our part. Should be in complete form later on this morning. Ended up after all said and done, with shipping it back we got a newer version of our sensor plus a donation on their part of a 150 foot cable installed directly to the sensor by the manufacturer along with being calibrated. So all in all was worth the effort in sending it back. The folks we purchased it from in Oregon USA; MET ONE were very helpful and great folks to deal with. They bent over backwards in getting us fixed up and back on the air. I have always said a good product is fine, but the service one gets after the fact, is just as important if not more. This sensor we have is not made off shore neither, it is made right in the USA. Can’t beat that. Any of the graphs can be clicked on which in turn will open a really detailed graph. Just one more added feature that Karl put together for us here at the LSB. At the top is the forecast for the day which changes as weather data changes. News For Port Loring Ontario
Not to much to report around town. I did make a trip to North Bay on the weekend to visit my son Karl. He has been feeling poorly these past few weeks, but slowly coming around with the help of a good doctor friend of mine. At any rate there is no shortage of cars moving around North Bay, or folks not spending money, as every store that I went into we had to wait at the checkouts. Grocery and Wall-mart the most busiest, coming in second was the gas stations. Should mention that gas is a heck of a price these days coming in at $1.30 a liter. What should be up there on them signs is the real price. Should read: $5.20 a Gallon and a gallon doesn’t go very far. This metric in my eyes was brought on to us for only one thing. To fool folks into believing things aren’t really that expensive. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Some call it progress, that’s a laugh. I call it tactics to fool the human race. And they are good at it too. My opinion only, of course. Enjoy your day my friends.
Open House & Local Author Celebration at Gulliver’s Quality Books & Toys North Bay
Went to town yesterday and took in the Open House and local author celebration at Gulliver’s Quality Books & Toys on Main Street. Suzanne Brooks her Husband & Staff sure out did themselves let me tell ya. CTV Television was there, along with numerous news papers. Lynn Johnston was also there, a great lady and if I can? I would like to say she was a great inspiration to my wife and I when we started to put together our first book and continued to do so through out all five. Suzanne Brooks though in my eyes is one of the greats. She has proven her self time and time again for all that she has done to help new and old writers gain the respect and attention that they so deserve. With out her a lot of new writers would have gone by the way side. She is a great asset to the City of North Bay and deserves to be in the spot light now and then. Great lady for sure and my wife and I are proud to be able to have her, her husband and staff as friends. Refreshments were handed out with hot apple cider, lots of mingling done with fellow writers, friends, and…well…just a down right enjoyable day. Lots turned out too, a steady stream of folks and the store was pretty well full for the whole event. Great day Suzanne and once again: Thanks….my hat goes off to you. Actually I didn’t wear my Stetson as a tribute to you.
Pharmacists should Hand Out ‘energy shots?
In the news today: Pharmacists should dispense ‘energy shots,’ expert says. Can you believe that. My point of view is that all this is, is another way for these companies to make money and make it look like natural medicines aren’t good for you along with them having full control over you. In reality; one if doing the research; would soon find out that Natural is the way to go. After doing your home work of course. Today these so called powers that be, have folks so scared that they hate to walk out the door without seeing a doctor. Most cures for what ails us is just outside your door, through nature, just waiting to be found and used. Some folks say my way of thinking is out to lunch. I say this to those that sneers at my way of thinking. Years ago these so called high uppity ups thought the world was flat too. Things will change believe me. I see it happening more and more every day. People are wising up, especially the younger ones. My hat goes off to them. One also has to remember in time; these young ones will be in power. Scares the heck out of the our Powers That Be today. I am lovin’ it. My opinion only.

Well still pretty quiet around town. Had some snow yesterday afternoon, around six inches to be exact. So driveway is in need of cleaning once again. So we will be able to get our exercise this morning shoveling it by hand. Enjoy doing it actually, if it is light. Gets us out so we can breath some of that fresh northern air into our lungs, along with soaking up a bit of that sunshine. Other than cold outside not much happening around town. Folks are staying inside relaxing by the fire it seems. Can’t say I rightly blame them neither. Myself I am steadily working on our new weather station here in Port Loring with Karl getting the bugs out of it. Slow process but once done it will be a greatly needed feature for our community. It is working now just needs some things worked out to make it more efficient. I am also working on my fifth book which will be coming out in the spring, another slow project as there is so much to do in putting it together. But both are things we enjoy doing,my wife and I. Well tea time here, keep warm and drive safe. In Closing I Would Like To Wish You Well.
Up-Date on Ground Hog Day
Ontario’s Wiarton Willie doesn’t see his shadow, meaning spring is just around the corner. If a groundhog sees his shadow, spring is six weeks away. If no shadow is seen, it’s an indication of an early spring. OK by me I am lookin” forward to an early spring and warmer weather. Good old Wiarton Willie comes through once again. LOL

On another note, the weather station is up and running as you can see. The graphs are working great and more will be added as Karl finds time and gets over his sore back, as he hurt himself trying to open his car door after they froze. So he is home from work recuperating for a couple days. Quite a painful ordeal. Always something. Just got to figure out how to get his doors open on his car now for him. Might have to make a trip to North Bay and give him a hand. Back to the weather station. As I said the graphs are all working fine and sensor is doing its job, other than one part which is the wind speed. With all the rain we have had and then dropping so fast, the cups froze up solid, so will take a day or so to come back on line. Being solid aluminum, as soon as the sun hits it, it will thaw things out. Other than that things are working fine. Enjoy your day my friends.
