Probiotics Get Some Soon

I can vouch for this as I am taking it and it really does work.  Everyone should be at the very least be taking one or two of these every day as most folks stomach bacteria is gone due to the over use of antibiotics.Take a look

Do you cringe when someone mentions probiotics because you really don’t want to think about those zillions of bacteria living in your gut? Swallowing down some more to add to the pile may not sound like an appealing thought, but the truth is that taking probiotics is probably one of the best interventions you can do to stay healthy or regain your health. That’s because those four pounds of little critters in your gut are to a very large degree your immune system. They hold the keys to your very existence.

Beautiful symbiosis

The perfect relationship between you and your bacteria is the one where you keep them happy and they keep you happy. They are easier to please that you are. All they want is some light. You can pick that up when you are in the sun or even in artificial lighting, and your chryptochrome cells will take it down to them. A little sugar makes them happy too, and current thought is that they also like reproductive hormones. Give them these three things and will be happy.

What you want from them is to be your unpaid personal bodyguards, to be willing to go to war against unfriendly bacteria, viruses, pathogens and foreign invaders to defend you. When they are up to the task of winning those wars you will stay healthy and able to maintain your positive outlook. You also want your bacteria to help you out with digestion of the food you eat, and to make sure that the nutrients from it are absorbed so you can use them well.

What can go wrong in the relationship between you and your bacteria

Probably the worst thing that can happen to ruin this happy relationship is taking antibiotics. Antibiotics kill off your bodyguards along with your enemies. When your bodyguards are lying dead you have no defense. Your digestion will suffer and you will experience the digestive blues characterized by rumbling in your digestive tract, gas, belching, and even more things too gross to mention here. If your digestion gets really bad you will become malnourished. Your body will not have the nutrients it needs to keep you healthy and your health will deteriorate. This downward spiral can set you up to be a prime candidate for degenerative disease along with leaving you wide open to be infected by parasites and other unwanted microorganisms.

Even if you aren’t a taker of antibiotics, your herd of bacteria can become so depleted that it can no longer do what you want it to do. Pesticides in the food you eat and chlorine in the water you drink will slowly poison bacteria and over time your intestinal tract can become just as devoid of them as if you had taken antibiotics. When this happens, unfriendly microorganisms such as disease-causing bacteria, yeasts and fungi set up shop in your digestive tract. Then you’ve got a problem because it is very difficult to evict them.

Why probiotics are so important

Probiotics are friendly bacteria similar to those found in people’s guts, especially in the guts of breastfed infants who have been provided this natural protection against many diseases by their mothers. Most friendly bacteria come from the Lactobacillus or Bididobacterium groups. There are several different species of bacteria in each group. Some probiotics are also friendly yeasts.

Taking probiotics is a way to keep your friendly bacteria population up to full strength so it is always at the ready to defend you. It is a way to replenish the bacteria that are killed off by the pesticides and chlorine. If you have taken antibiotics, taking probiotics is even more important because you probably have unfriendly microorganisms living in your gut that your reduced levels of friendly bacteria are having difficulty handling. Taking probiotics will increase and strengthen your friendly bacteria population to a level that will allow it to oust the intruders.

Carmine,Its Uses & What It Is Made Of

This is not a joke: there are ground up red beetles being used right now as a food coloring ingredient in yogurt, ice cream, juice drinks and many other grocery products. The ingredient is called “carmine.”

Carmine is literally made from dried, ground-up red beetles, and its coloring (bright red) is used in yogurt, juice drinks, candies, and a long list of other products, including many “natural” products.

It’s not that these red beetles are dangerous. Except for a few individuals who suffer severe allergic reactions to the beetles, most people do just fine eating carmine. Beetles are probably good for you, just like ants. High in protein, low in fat… you get the picture.

But there’s a grossness factor that probably explains why products using this ingredient list “carmine” instead of “powdered red beetles” on the label. The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) has even petitioned the FDA to ban carmine(1), or, at the very least, require its clear labeling. The CSPI cites a study conducted by the doctors at the University of Michigan (headed by Dr. Baldwin, University of Michigan Medical Center) that demonstrated carmine can cause a severe allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis — a condition that can put a person into shock and require hospitalization. But these reactions are extremely rare.

Good Old Honey

What if you could find a magic potion that would sweeten your tea, create mind blowing delicious cakes and dramatically improve your health? You may be surprised to find that bees create this amazing elixir in the form of honey. That’s right, raw, unadulterated honey is nature’s oldest sweetener and it also promotes true, radiant health. Thousands of years before the invention of white sugar, people used honey to enhance their food and support their bodies.

But don’t be fooled by the sticky jar that is sitting in your cupboard. Most honey is highly processed, over heated and chemically refined, leaving it lifeless and free of any benefits. Excessive heating destroys the valuable enzymes, vitamins, and minerals, as well as the unique phytonutrients that make honey the super food that it is.

A Bit On Antibiotics

Eventually antibiotics are going to be seen as one of the worst things to ever come out of pharmaceutical science because in the end, they have made us only weaker in the face of ever increasingly strong super bugs that are resistant to all the antibiotics doctors have at their disposal. When we look at how deep the rabbit hole goes with antibiotics, we will get sick in our souls. Antibiotics have fulfilled their anti–biotic anti-life role leaving a long trail of death and suffering in the wake of their use.

Diseases include measles, scarlet fever, tuberculosis, typhoid fever, pneumonia, influenza, whooping cough, diphtheria and polio. All were in decline for several decades before the introduction of antibiotics or vaccines – Dr. Lawrence Wilson.

Antibiotics do not kill yeast. Many women find after taking antibiotics, they get vaginal yeast infections (because their normal bacterial balance has been lost). Antibiotics bring on fungal and yeast infections thus will eventually be seen as a major cause of cancer since more and more oncologists are seeing yeast and fungal infections as an integral part of cancer and its cause. With upwards of 40 percent of all cancers thought to be involved with and caused by infections, the subject of antibiotics and the need for something safer, more effective and life serving is imperative.

Do You Believe In Miracles?

A miracle is an event beyond human power to understand--so
much that most people will shove aside the thought as unreal.
Miracles happen every day to the most common of us and at any
hour. We tend to call them by a more acceptable name--coincidence.
But most of these supernatural events move in like
the dawn creeping across the land. It is so gradual it
seems that it has always been.
What triggers a miracle? It is not outward,
but something that throws a switch within. It is an
event over and above anything we can explain--
and why should we need to?

More Regarding Good Old Garlic

Garlic is probably nature’s most potent food. It is one of the reasons people who eat the Mediterranean diet live such long healthy lives. Garlic is also a powerful performer in the research lab. Several new studies have documented its ability to promote heart and cardiovascular health, prevent and treat cancer, and create a healthy lipid profile. Others have shown garlic prevents platelet aggregation and reduces high blood pressure. Garlic has strong anti-inflammatory properties. One of the most interesting of the recent findings is that garlic increases the overall antioxidant levels of the body.

How do I Keep Up Morale In a Down Market and Hard Times?

Simple. You are in charge of your life and your feelings.  If you get hurt you are the one that has allowed it to happen to you.  Way to fix it.  Just stop taking things so serious.  All the worrying in the world won’t help solve the problem. Old sayig is. When things get tough the tough get going.  Don’t believe everything you hear as the media is just making you think things that are not really happening.  Send out possitive vibes and good things will happen. It’s not all that bad out there. I got faith in ya.  My opinion only

Toyota, GM and Chrysler Wants $12B plan Now and Probably More.

You know these car companies keep telling us they need all this money to stay alive.  There is a simple way of fixing this problem without any money from us hard working tax payers.  Not sure if you heard me right.  I said tax payers as we the people are the goverment and it’s our money that is being handed out to these folks.  Should never have  happened.  If they want to stay afloat the way to do it is each person that works for them should take about a five dollar an hour pay cut.   Management a bit more.   Will they do this?  Not on your life, so I figure if they don’t want to help the company they work for why should us hard working tax payers do anything to help them.  Simple as that. My Opinion Only

Facebook, Beware In My Eyes

Now here is an article that says a lot.  Trouble is I don’t really think folks understand what it really says as more folks are signing up for this Group than ever before. I guess they just don’t care about keeping things in their lives private.  I can understand why maybe some of the real young folks get hooked, as they don’t really know what the consequences are by joining a group like this.  But for older folks I can’t for the life of me see their reasoning.  For me, my life is mine to know not the worlds.  So all that I can say is read this article and beware. My advice stay away.  My opinion only.

You hereby grant Facebook an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license (with the right to sub license) to (a) use, copy, publish, stream, store, retain, publicly perform or display, transmit, scan, reformat, modify, edit, frame, translate, excerpt, adapt, create derivative works and distribute (through multiple tiers), any User Content you (i) Post on or in connection with the Facebook Service or the promotion thereof subject only to your privacy settings or (ii) enable a user to Post, including by offering a Share Link on your website and (b) to use your name, likeness and image for any purpose, including commercial or advertising, each of (a) and (b) on or in connection with the Facebook Service or the promotion thereof.  Bottom   line is they can pretty well do what every the darn well please with what ever you put on their site.  Also remember this just quiting the group isn’t as easy as one thinks.  Good luck!

Warm Weather Brings On Headaches? Crazy Talk

Now here is an article that is right out to lunch.  Take a look.

Higher temperatures not only prompt people to seek shade, but the rising mercury might also bring on headaches, a large-scale study suggests.

Thing is every spring the old blood starts to thin out with the warm weather. Of course it takes time for the old body to adjust.  Also the light is brighter so another reason for a headache to maybe hit a fellow or gal.  So now they come along, the health departments and start telling folks to stay out of the sun.  I gotta tell ya though if you believe that, well I won’t say it.  Just get out there and enjoy the summer weather that old Mother Nature throws at you and have fun. You will be a lot healthier if you do.  Also this is just another way for all them demonstrators that is into this global warming thing.  More fuel for them one might say.  Don’t believe one word of it.  My Opinion Only

The Economy Here In Canada

You know for the past few months now all that I have heard is how bad our economy really is.  I for one don’t really think it’s as bad as some would have us believe. Sure we have lost tons of jobs but that isn’t because the economy is bad, it’s happening because we don’t make or do anything for ourselves anymore here in Canada and when other countries get into hard times we feel it.  What we need is to be a lot more self efficient and start looking after ourselves.  Some folks say well that is being selfish, I say it’s not that way at all, as one has to look after themselves before they can help others.  That’s a fact.  I also think the media has every one so paranoid that they don’t know what to do.  If you think back a few years we had a recession and it was worse than the one we are in now.  So what to do?  Well sure save a bit of money for a rainy day and sure pay off them debts, but don’t let it stop you from living a good healthy life.  If everyone starts to hord their money, you can bet no good will become of it.  And remember this, don’t believe everything the Powers That Be is telling you, especially a liberal view on things.  My old Dad always told me, “George you got a mind of your own, you don’t need anyone else doing your thinking for ya.”     My Opinion Only

Patrol Officer Meets His Match

A patrol officer pulled over Jill for speeding.  Jill was a 65 year old lady from out of state.
The officer asked to see her licence.
‘Don’t have one’ Jill said.

‘Can I please see the Vehicle registration’ the officer asked firmly but politely.
‘Nope’ snapped Jill.
In that case I will have to take you into the Police station and charge you there.  When they arrived the arresting officer said, to the duty sergeant.  This lady has no licence and no vehicle registration.
‘Sure I do’ said Jill sweetly.  This officer has got it in for me, the next thing is he will be saying is that I was speeding.

Help For Cholesterol & High Blood Pressure

Blueberries, Garlic, & Apples – These three foods are tasty and can be easily combined with many other foods in home-made recipes. Garlic and Blueberries lower blood pressure and cholesterol. The fiber pectin in apples decrease the amount of cholesterol produced in the liver. Using these ingredients in your meals can make a healthy impact on your cholesterol and lower blood pressure.

So……….just one more reason to start eating right and get out there in the garden this spring.

Chemotherapy Is A Barbaric Form Of Medicine

Chemotherapy is a barbaric form of medicine, and new research is showing that even when it is called a “success” by western doctors, it is destroying patients’ future health by severely compromising their immune systems. How? By causing massive DNA damage that greatly multiplies patients’ risk of being diagnosed with leukemia and other diseases later in life.

Naturopaths and even many western doctors have long questioned the wisdom of chemotherapy. It’s a highly toxic procedure that, believe it or not, doesn’t have a shred of scientific evidence to back its use. Chemotherapy hasn’t been proven to increase the lifespan of leukemia patients at all. Its only measurable result is to shrink tumors and alter blood chemistry markers in ways that doctors label a “success,” but in terms of real lifespan and quality of life, chemotherapy does nothing. There are far better ways to fight leukemia and cancer than by turning to chemotherapy, radiation or other radical treatments. Even if a patient gets so hoodwinked by their doctor that they choose to undergo the toxic procedure, they’ll greatly minimize their DNA damage by turning to nature and consuming large quantities of chlorella and other superfoods before the procedure. In previous studies described in Superfoods for Optimum Health, patients who ate chlorella before undergoing chemotherapy not only showed the lowest side effects from the treatment, they also went on to survive longer than other patients — much longer. Oncologists were stunned!

Old Fashioned Fish Chowder

2 md Onions; minced
2 lg Baking potatoes; cubed
1/2 ts Dried thyme

1 lb Cod or haddock fillet
4 c Milk
1/2 ts Salt
Pepper; fresh ground
Paprika for garnish

Heat the vegetable oil in a large, heavy saucepan over low heat. Add the onions and saute for 10 minutes, or until golden but not brown. Add the baking potatoes (cut into 1/4-inch cubes), the dried thyme and the turkey stock. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

Add the cod or haddock fillet, cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Add the milk, salt and black pepper to taste. Cover and simmer 5 minutes, or until the mixture is thoroughly hot. Gently flake the fish with a fork into bite-sized pieces, then ladle the chowder into soup bowls. Sprinkle with paprika and serve immediately. Makes 6 servings.

Old Fashioned Butterscotch Candy

2 c Sugar
1/4 c Light corn syrup
1/2 c Butter (1 stick) (use real butter only)
2 tb Water
2 tb Vinegar

Combine all ingredients in 2 qt. heavy saucepan. Stir and cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, then reduce heat and cook at a medium boil, stirring as needed to control foaming to avoid sticking as mixture thickens. If sugar crystals form on sides of pan, wipe them off. Cook to the hard crack stage (300 degrees). Remove from heat and let stand 1 minute.

Meanwhile, butter 2 sheets of aluminum foil and place on 2 baking sheets. Quickly drop teaspoonfuls of butterscotch onto foil, making patties about 1″ in diameter. Space them 1/2″ apart. If candy thickens so that it will not drop easily, set pan in hot water until it is again workable. Makes about 6 dozen patties or 1-1/4 pounds of butterscotch.

China Crazy Talk In My Eyes

Now here is a statement that is right out to lunch.  First off through my eyes we shouldn’t be doing the trading we are doing with China.  Just look at our economy now.  If you think dealing with them over seas is going to help us get out of this recession you are mistaken. What we need to be doing is looking after ourselves an our closest neighbour.  When the chips are down it isn’t going to be folks overseas that helps us out. Let me tell you that.  Take a look at this article. Crazy thinking for sure. My opinion only.

Everyone has the same message: when will Ottawa cease bungling the China file and build Canada’s relationship with the world’s fastest growing economy, a rising power and Canada’s second largest trade partner – a country Stephen Harper has yet to visit since becoming prime minister in February 2006?   I would also like to know who he means by everyone, sure never asked me or anyone I know.  Kind of a laugh really.
